Crucial Safety Rules
Completely disconnect from the mains power supply before starting: Unplug the cord from the appliance first, then from the wall outlet; never attempt the repair simply by turning off the power strip switch.
Keep your hands and the work area dry at all times; never operate with wet hands. Wearing dry, insulated gloves is recommended.
If the cord's insulation has hardened, cracked, or become charred, replace the entire cord with a new, ready-made one of the same specifications that carries the 3C certification; do not attempt to replace only the plug.

Tools and Materials Preparation
Key Materials: A new plug or complete power cord compatible with the appliance's power rating. Ensure it bears the **3C certification** mark. Choose a 10A/250V specification for standard appliances (10A) and a 16A specification for high-power appliances like air conditioners.
Essential Tools: Phillips and flat-head screwdrivers, wire strippers, a voltage tester, and electrical tape. A multimeter is also recommended if available.
