Verification of Official Markings
Check for 3C Certification: The product body, packaging, and power cord must all bear a clear CCC (China Compulsory Certification) mark; blurry printing or missing marks strongly suggest a counterfeit.
Confirm the Standard: Compliant products manufactured after August 1, 2025, must display the latest national standard number GB 2099.7-2024; products made prior to this date must display GB 2099.7-2015. Discard any product lacking a standard number.
Check for Complete Specifications: The product must clearly state the rated voltage (250V), rated current (10A/16A), and manufacturer details. Inconsistent parameters or typos/missing characters indicate an inferior counterfeit.

Verification of Core Safety Structure
Check Socket Configuration: It must not feature a "universal socket" design; instead, it must use a configuration of separate 2-pin and 3-pin sockets (often combined into a 5-hole unit). This design ensures stable contact between the plug and internal copper components, preventing arcing and overheating.
Test Safety Shutters:Try inserting a single-pole metal object (like a key or screwdriver) into the socket; with a compliant product, the object cannot be inserted. The shutter should only open when both plug prongs are inserted simultaneously, preventing accidental contact by children. If the shutter opens with a single-pole object, it is a substandard counterfeit.
Verify Cord Specifications:A 10A power strip cord must be marked 3×1.0mm², while a 16A high-power model must be marked 3×1.5mm². Cords that are noticeably too thin or lack specification markings are counterfeits made with cut corners.
